In the years 1957-1963 he studied painting at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts (diploma under
Waclaw Taranczewski in 1963) and philosophy at the Jagiellonian University. In 1978 he under-
went a training at the Chair of Aesthetics of the Dusseldorf University. He has lectured at the
Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow Polytechnic and at the Cracovian ASP.
A painter interested in the metaphor subordinated to purely artistic values; the author of treatises
on the philosophy of art.
