He studied painting in the Free School of Painting and Drawing in Lublin and in the years 1956-
-1959 art history at the Catholic University in Lublin. In 1956 he co-organized the Lublin Group
"Zamek". He participated, a. o., in the Biennial of Spatial Forms in Elblqg in 1965.
In the 1950s he painted surreal compositions; next, he turned towards the painting of matter;
around 1965 he became interested in geometrical compositions construed of colourful spatial
slats, close to optic art.
