He attended the State College of Plastic Arts in Gdansk (dipioma in Stanisfaw Borysowski's studio
in 1963). A professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Mikofaj Kopernik University in Torun.
In his painting he most willingly takes up the subject of still lifes and interiors - his representations
are characterized by the precision of line. He is also a drawer, book illustrator and designer of
interiors, museum displays and stained-glass windows.

He obtained his artistic education in the School of Decorative Arts in Cracow and at the Warsaw
Academy of Fine Arts. He made his debut in the Group "Elipsa" in Fublin in 1923. He taught at
the Cracovian and Varsovian Academies of Fine Arts, where he headed the Department of Book
Illustration, popularly called the "Rara Avis Publishing House".
A painter, graphic artist involved mainly in lithography and woodprint, and sculptor.
