l6 Rare and Early Printed Books. Autographs and Manuscripts.
by Arnaldus of Brussels. I am, indebted to the Kommission für den
Gesamtkatalog der Wiegendrucke for the information that JODOCUS
HOHENSTEIN, who printed at Naples in the same period, was the
Printer of this vita, and it seems very probable that it be-
longs to the unique copy of the Rethorica nova in the Bibliothöque
Nationale (Pell. 3639); the two books in the Bibliotheque Nationale
were probably originally bound together, and the binder, when separa-
ting them, bound the vita into the wrong book.
This is a very large and fine copy; first leaf
skilfully repaired at the inner margin, a few slight wormholes. Some
marginal notes.
