Subject : On the one side, between two great eyes, stands Dionysos, ivy-crowned and
holding a vine-branch and kantharos. In front his lion is seated watching him. To
the right a satyr crouches, carrying a wine-skin and vine-branch.

On the other side Hephaistos carrying his own attribute the mallet, and the vine-
branch of Dionysos, rides upon a mule, while to the right a satyr pipes to him.

Dionysos by the power of his vine brought back Hephaistos to the assembly
of the gods in Olympus when Ares had failed to compel him.

Subject: Satyrs gathering in the vintage. Some are gathering grapes; one holds a basket
for the others to fill; one treads the wine-press, another watches the juice as it
pours into a large vat.
