Kalimpong,' Juno 10.
The following appeal signed by pro-
minent members of the public have been
made to the officiating Sub-Divisional.
Officer here but till now no action seems to
have been taken in the matter.

"In the interest of the local public
considering the present situation caused by
the rains tiie public of Kalimpong request
you to be good enough to transmit the
following messages by Radiogram,'to higher
officials as there is no other means of
transmitting the message.

"AH communications dislocated and
ration position is also serious. L'nless A.
R. L. P. and Military assistance is taken,
restoration of communications in ordinary
course is likely to be greatly delayed. At
least, ordinary mails should move by run-
ners. In the absence of any means of
communication messages-of public 'be
permitted to be'Kadiogrammed. Prompt
and serious action is solicited. And for
which shall remain thankful'/.
