LIGHT ON ROHINI
MURDER

(From Our ' orrespoudent)

Kur9eong July 10.

with the murder of one

from the confession of the
main accoused that he,
along with three others

they met one wild boar.
The accoused had a 1). 15.
B. L. gun with him. While
the three others started
beating the forest for the
wild boai, he fired. Then
they all heard the cry of
Kajman Tamang and on

unconscious inside the
forest. Later his body
was brought by them at
the Kurseong hospital at
about 4 A. M. The i.ceoii-

Tamang or he was shot
dead.

The readers may re-

LATEST CLOTH
DISTRIBUTION

IKrjin our i'orr.'a|><,nd*nl)

Kurseong, July 10.

This month's cloth
distribution took place on
the 14th Jqly, 1951. The
quality of the supplied
cloth was not good and
at the same time 'ho
price being very high,
many people could not
purchase the stuff.

Still more it has btlSW
reported that the public
eould not get fair dealing
from the retailers in manv
cases. One retailer tried
'o cut the shirting cloth
due for one gentleman
into pieces saving it was
in the order, while another
tried to supply cut pieces
of shirting to another
Gentleman, who required
it all in one pi»ce, in the
name of government order.
As a matter of fact, the
retailers were found quite
in the dark over the mode
of cloth distribution to be
followed.

enquity that as much as
05 per cent of the total
number of 1504 children
examined are subject to
pusitive Tuberculin reac-
tion. The total number of
students at Kurseong town
comes to a figure slightly
more than 2IMK).

Those who have posi-
tively reacted to Tuber-
culin test are children of
very poor families. Malnu-
trition and bad housing
condition is responsible for
such a miserable state of
their health.

It is such ft teal
danger to the future gene-
ration that an immediate
action to »avc the children
from such a deadly grip
has become the imperative
duty of all the socially
conscious |>eople.
