scenes, especially those ol
the inn ti e ship and the
island were very realistic.
The live parrot on
Silver s shoulder and the
behaviour of his master
siemed to have walked nut
of Stevenson's pages. It
may he said that without
exaggeration that all the
main parts wcie beauti-
fully acted.

the public of Kwteoog,
at a function, on the 20th
October. 1931, at •> p. m.in
the Oh a ram sal a Hill. 'Ihe
hall was packed up to its
capacity. Sri tioswami.

Bahut, gave masterly per-
formance of classical music.
Almost all the sonss were
in Hindi and a few in
Bengali. Hie function was
Organised by the Institute
of culture. Kurseong.
The evening was plea-
sant and among the dis-
tinguished guests were His
Royal BUghneaa Prince
Peter of Greece and the
Consul General of France.
Ureal credit is due to
the teaching staff who
have been kro to prepare
our boys to relive the
past in so natural way,
and we wish the school
every success.

Consumers to Institute a
Civil Suit

A meeting of the
members of the public
and consumers of Kur-
seong Hydro-KleclricSup|>-
Iv Company Limited was
held under the auspices
ol the Electricity Kates
Knhancement Protest Co-
mmittee Kurseong. Sree
S. K. Kai. M. L. A. presi-
de! Several speakers in-
cluding M 8 B. N. Baner-
jee. K. B. Bhandari,
Sitaram Agarwala and
Others vehemently denoun-
ced the action of the
unjustifiable enhancement
of electrical rates by the
Company. Out of the
eight hundred consumers,
more than seven hundred
have voluntarily asked the
Company to cut off their
connections as a protest
against the arbitrary action
of the Company.
The consumers have
also desisted from burning
any extra electric lamps
in the Dewali. The Klec-
tricitv.Kates Knhancement
Protest Committee. Kur-
seong, have decided to
institute a Civil Suit at
Kurseong for an injunction
till the matter is investi-
gated by the Government
to whom the Committee
has already approached
and a decision is arrived
at to ttie effect.
