On the 8th May, 1952,
the birth day of Kaviguru
Rabindranath Tagore was
celebrated at a public
meeting, held at the Raj
Rajeswari Ilall. Kur.eor.g,
under the Presidentship of
Sri Mriganka Mohon Sur.
Sri S. X. Chatterjee spoke
on the Tagorian school of
ideas and its merits. The
local girl students staged
the famous Tagorian drama
“Natir Puja” which was
greatly appreciated by the
audiance.

tion was presided by Mr.
Sainual Rai Those who
spoke in favour of parti-
cipation of students in
polities were headed bv
Sri Agni Raj shrestha and
those against it were under
the leadership of Sri Mohon
Rai. 'The parly of Sri
Agni Raj Shrestha won
the Debate by a fair
margin of secured points.
