Tenders are invited for—
i. Clearing agency at Siliguri to clear
bv 3 ■ -3:53. as and when called on to do
so, about 28,000 Mds. ot foodstuff from
the Food Depot and about 15.000 Mds.
of other stores from Railways, Air Services
and Merchants and to store these, if
necessary, in Agent’s Godowns, details of
which should be given. All charges e.g,
charges for Agency Commission, Storase,
loading ayjd unloaing, and transport, should
be quoted separately and no fresh item
of charge will be entertained in the Bills
later.
( 11. Transport of Foodstuff (Rice,
Atta etc.,) Cinchona Bark and other stores
between the following places in the nine
months ending March, 1953.
(a) Siliguri to Rungbee Bazar.
(Foodstuff—18.000 Mds. approx.
(Other Stores—6,000 Mds. do
(b) Rungbee Bazar to Sukea Khola )
Sukea Khola to Munsong )
Foodstuff 8,000 Mds. approx.
(c) Munsong to Sukea Khola )
Sukea khola to Rungbee Bazar )
Cinchona Bark 7,000 Aids, approx.
(d) Siliguri to Kalitar—Foodstuff—
25,000 Mds. approx.
The rates per maund queted must be
separately for each route and be inclusive
of all charges, e.g., chrges for loading,
unloading and even transporting over slips if
and when necssary. Registration numbers of
Public Carrier Trucks owned, if anv, must
be quoted.
Accepted tenderers, in both the cases,
shall be responsible for the safe custody of
the goods entrusted to them and shall have
to deposit security money and to enter into

In addition to a number of scholar-
ships awarded by the Government of
India and Shipping Companies, five
scholarships of Rs.50/- each per month
will be awarded by the Government of
West Bengal for the entire period of
training of Marine Engineering Course
UDder the Ministry of Transport,
Government of India, on financial grounds
to the selected candidates belonging to
the State of West Bengal.
Candidates must be between fifteen
and a half years and nineteen years
on March 1, 1952, and must have passed
I.Se. with Mathematics or an equivalent
examination at least in 'the second
division.
The Director of Marine Engineering
Traininig, Ministry of Transport, Govern
ment of India has invited applications
for training as Merchant Navy Engineer
Officers. Anplications will be received
by the Director, Marine Engineering
Training, 30, Gorachand Road, Calcutta 14.
Prescribed form of application can
be had from the Publication Sales
Office, Writers' Buildings, Calcutta, at
a nomial price of anna one each. The
last date for receiving application is
Juno 1C, 1952.

Directorate an insurance policy for Rs.
50,000/- as a cover against all risks in
storage. Loss of foodstuff, over and above
allowable limits, shall have to be compensated
for at double the purchase price.

superscribed, should reach the undersifned at
Mnngpoo P. 0„ Darjeeling on or before the
14th june, 1952. The right is reserved to
reject one or all tendere received.
