the 1st week of Septem-
ber, 1952 The exhibition
will take place at the
local Mahatab Club, situa-
ted cn the Pankhabari
Road. It is learned that
the Maharani Adhirani
Sahiba of Burdwan has
been requested by t h e
exhibition committee to
inaugurate the exhibition.
The committee has
"contacted a large number
of local painters and photo-
graphers of outstanding
merit. There are artists
in the district of Darje-
eling whose works are

Those who have sent
their paintings include

F. M. Shen, Mr. Joseph

Sri Birendra Subba, Sri
Rulal Pradhan, Sri S.
Banerjee, and a host of
others The committee has
already received about 200
paintings from this district.
