Two important Tibetan officials, Yampel
Pandatsangand his monk eolleaque Lama
Meudong, arrived here to day from Tibet.
They will assume charge in a weeks
time it is reliably learnt, of Tibet Trade
Mission here, and will relieve Rimshi
Surkhang and Khenchung Lobsang Tse-
wang, at persent heads of Tibet Trade
Mission. Yampel Pandatsang is a well
known 1 ibetan businessman with wide
experience of trade and commercial
matters. He was previously Tibetan
Trade Agent at Yatung, and in 1941)
s as member of first Tibet Trade Mission
tx> foreign countries, visited China U.S.A.
and Britian.

The young Nepali litterateur Sri Act ha
Rai, 'Rasik’ passed away in the Victoria
Hospital, Darjeeling at 3 o’clock on
Friday. J5th August, 1952 He had
been suffering from Jaundice for some
time.
'1 he death of Sri Rai is a great
loss to the Nepali literacy society.
We pay our deep respect to the
deceased and express our deep sympathy
to the grieved relatives.
CONDOLENCE MEETING
A condolence meeting to mourn
the death of the Young Nepali Litterateur
Sri Accha Rai, ‘Rasik’ was held at the
promises of . the S. U. M. Institution,
Kalimpong, by the students & staff on
Saturday the 23rd August, ’52 at 10-30
A. M. Sri P. R. Pradhan presided
A resolution expressing deep sym
pathy to the bereaved family was passed
in the meeting.
