THEFT FROM DEPUTY

There was a surpri-
sing theft on the 11th
night here at District
Hoard Dak-Bungalow when
the Battery from the De-
puty Commissioner's Jeep
was stolen. The Jeep was
garaged at D. B. Dak-
Bungalow and D.C. himself
was 'Staying there. The
Battery was however re-
covered from a driver
named Krishna Bahadur

Commissioner of the Ka-
limpong Municipality, it is
reliably learnt here. Offi-
cial confirmation is, how-
ever lacking.
It is felt here that
unusual delay is being
made in the annoucement
of names of nominated
members of the Munici-
pality.

Still detaining him in hazat
