GOVT. SCHOOL
SOCIAL WORK
Kali ill pone, Nov (>
The 3rd series of the
social work, done by the
pupils of the Govt. High
School, Kalimpong was
resumed on the 25th Oct.
1952.

This time the boys
worked at the road which
connects this school with
the Lower Cart, Hoad,
Kalimpong.

As usual the boys were
grouped into four batches
and put to definite lines
of work. The weeds of
the road were uprooted,
cleared and the road was
levelled wherever it seemed
n- cessary. The bushes by
the side of tlie road were
cleared and removed. The
side-drain was also cleaned.
To do a lot of things
in a short period of time
01 hrs oniyi is the proof
of the boy s whole-hear-
ti dm-ss and enthusiasm in
the work into which they
were applied. During the
whole length of the work
they looked cheerful, ener-
getic ami sincere to their
work. It is really a ma-
tter of great joy to note
that they continued the
work to its completion
without any sign of iatigue
or boredom on their part.

Now, the appearance
of the road is so charm dig
that anv one who walks
or looks’ at it admires the
co-operative work of the
hoys.
