WHITEWAY CIRCUS AT SILIGURI
GRAND GALA OPENING

WHITE WAV CIR-
CES performed their
gram! gala opening cere-
mony on Sunday the 5th
April 1953 at Revoke
Road Siliguri in pres- nee
of a huge and Mite ga-
thering.
Amidst thundering
applause of met), women
and children who had
poured m to see the per
formance from Siliguri
and other far and near
places Sri George Maha-
liert, M L A declared the
show open remarking in
his neat little speech that
they were all very glad
to welcome the circus in
their locality. Sri Maha
bert further said that
they were thankful to the
managem- nt of Whiteway
Circus for keeping their
performance open at Sili-
guri. for it was after two
years that people of the
locality have got some
amusement other than
cinema shows.
At the end of the
show Sri Mahabert said
that he was very glad
with the grand show pre-
sented by the c.rcus and
that he would appeal to
everyone to see that the
management and artistes
of the circus w«re not
disappointed at Siliguri.
All those present highly
.appreciated the show
and were full of praise
for the performnne speci-
ally ai the Flying Trapeze
Their Bamboo Trick and.
The Elephant Walking
over Human Chest were
really wonderful.

ted already from Rishi

All are requested, to

staff when they will bo

not allow their ponies to,
drink water from the drain
on the road side for their
own good
A few cases of small
pox have also been repor-
ted recently. As such, all
are warned that they
should take vaccination
at-once if they have not
as yet done so. The Rural
Sanitary Staff and the
Municipal Sanitary Staff
are at tlioir disposal for
both rural areas and the
town area respectively.
