SUPPLY OF MEALS BY

ESTABUSHMFNTS
Darjeeling, April 16
The Government of
West Bengal have decided
to abolish the restriction
on the number of courses
which can be supplied by
establishments like Hotels,
Restaurants, Rating houses
etc., and also to abolish
the restriction on charges
for meals and amenities.
Under the new order su-
perseding tho existing
West Bengal Restric'ions
on Meals in Establishment
Order 19&1, all residential
establ shments supplying
meal of the European type
and all non residential es."
tablishments are permitted
to serve not more than
6 ozs. of rati ,ned cereals
at. each meal to each
customer.

Res dentiil establish-
ments supplying meals of
the Indian Ope conserve
rationed cereals to a person
only to the extent availa-
ble under the ordinary
ration card quota. Tho
existing ban on the t-upplv
of rice by establishments
serving meal of the Euro-
pean typo will continue
under the new order. As
in tho existing Order,
Government reserve to
themEeives the right to
suspend, or relax the pro-
visions of the Order in
specific cases.

cutive committee meeting
held on 22nd March, 1953.

With a view to pro-
viding relief in this respeot

to Nepal it has been deci-
ded that they should hen-
ceforward submit their
applications in duplioate
either personallyortlirough
post. On receipt of the
application the issuing
authority will extract the
specimen signature or the
thumb impression as the
case may be. of the appli
cant from the duplicate
copv of the application
and paste the same on the
space provided for putting
the specimen signature of
the applicant on the Iden-
tity card at the time of
issue. The Identity Card’
when prepan d will be
deliver- d to the applicants
by post, if so desired.
