TRAFFIC REGULATION

We are glad to know that the Police
authorities ol the "District are considering
. tp put a ldilioiial force at Kalimpong spe-
cially for the Development Area where at
present police protection was negligible.
For the stationing of. the force a house
in the development area has. also been
engaged by the authorities and it is hoped
"that this move’of the Superintendent of
Police, Darjeeling will put an end to the
criminal activities which of late have been
reported from that area.

Another matt r that requires immediate
attention of the authorities concerned is
the putting into operation of the traffic
regulations at Kalimpong. The main Bazar
is always lull of school goiiig children who
go to school in batches, come back for
tiffin go back, to school in a hurry after

bridge across Mecld river at Bhadrapur, a
big business-centre of eastern Nepal and
situated on the border ofSndian Union
