KI-ECRRIC MISTRIHS

Sir, ] should like to bring to the
notice of general public through your
paper as to how alarmingly . the fate
of numerous Electrical and Asst. Elec-
trical Mis tries in Darjeeling Sub-Division
have boon deteriorating for the reason
that Electrical Authorities have stopped
giving fresh electrical conections on the
plea that Genarators are already over-
loaded. Consequently, not only the pro-
fession and earnings of these Electrical
Mistrics and Asst Mist ribs have come to
a stand-still but a large number of public,
desiring fresh connections, are 'eft help-
less and disappointed. Here, most reluc-
tantly though. I Iiavo to p: nt out that
there was no question of such overloading
even during war time when electric energy
consumption was much higher than what
it is today due to locitioa of many leave
centres and almost a 1 the hotels running
in full swing at Darjteliie.

I sinceferely hope thit the E'ectr cal
authorities will not ti rn a deaf ear to
the sufferings of both the categories of
of people and find a way out to solve t ie
problem. Yours etc Kalonman Syangdan.

BAGDHARA

Sir, It' is noted with much regret that
the "Bagdhara." the water of which is re-
garded b:y the people of Kalimpong as
Cangas water, is being spoiled by those
w;ho wash alT sorts of cloths on the.
bathing platform and hang their washed
out cloths on idol of Sri Radha Krishna
situated • at -Che' mouth of the flow.

There is a separate place meant for
washing of clothes and I do. not see.
• any reason why some people should come
to, the bathing place for washing and dry-
ing their . clothes around and disturb
the early morning bathers and worshippers
of tho dirty.

lho bathing place has been made so
dirty that no body feels like bathing
there and if the washers are requested
to remove their cloth and allow people to
take bath, there is always a quarrel.

It would be much helpful to every
body if people concerned see that the
right thing is done at tho right place.
It should be -th; concern of everyone
to maintain the sanctity of Bagdhara.
Yours etc- K. L. Uazamere.
