OUR KURSEONG MAIL

(From Our Correspondent)

DOMARAM BUSTI

In pursuance of its po-
licy to encourage “Sports”
in the locality, the inhabi-
tants of Domaram Busty
made use of the tennis
courts belonging to the
N. E. Rlv to stage their
Annual Atheletics. This
was on thet 22nd Novem-
ber and drew an unusually
large number of partici-
pants.

Despite the handicaps
and a cramped stadium
the day’s achievements
compared favourably with
the achievements of any
big meet. The performan-
ces evoked general admi-
ration.

The ceremonial presenta-
tion of the awards was
made by Sri JC. IT. Bhan-
dafi, Vice-Chairman of the
Knrseong Muncipality who
also presided over the
function.

Sjiitt Savitri Devi Subba ,
and dmt. Ganga Pradhan
worked hard to make,this
day a success.
