object of securing justice
to the inhumanly exploi-
ted workers on the plan-
tations in Champaran.
Rejendra Babu was among
the early band of Bihari
heroes who came in con-
tact with the Mahatma
at the time It might
truly be said that Rajen-
rira Babu came and saw
the Mahatma only to bo ■
conquered at first sight.
His yearning to be atta-
ched to Gandhiji as a per-
sonal chela was too strong
and too natural to be
resisted. And, in this
process Rajendra Babu
unconsciously became an-
other Gandhi in his own
person.

It was Oandhiji’s wish
to live until he had com-
pleted 125. May a Mer-
ciful and Wise Providence
decree Gandhiji s beloved
disciple would fulfil his
master’s unrealised dream!
