(Rule 3.)

Whereas the Presidency Division North' (Teachers')
Constituency of the West Bengal Legislative Council
has been called upon to elect a member on or
before 27th of May 1954.

I, S. Dutt Mazumdar, Deputy Commissioner, Dar-
jeeling and the Returning Oflicer of .the said cons-
tituency do hereby give the following: —

Public Notice

(i) The number of person to be elected is one.

(ii) Nomination papers may be delivered to the

undersigned at his office at Darjeeling or,
if he is unavoidably , prevented from receiv-
ing the same to the Asst. Returning Officer of
■"•. tL- Constituency at Darjeeling. They should
li presented between 1 I a.m. and 3. p.-m.
on or before the 15th April ]951.

(iii Forms nf nomination paper may be obtained at
the offices of the persons abovementioned
i etween the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
from 5th April, 1954 to 15th April, 1934.

(iv) The nomination paper will be- taken up for
security at 11 a.m. on 19th April, 1954

The salary offered is
Rs. 40/-

plus Dearness

allowance Rs. 21/-

Total Rs. .0.1/-

The selected candidate
will have to remain on
provalion for a period
of one year.

Ho will bo required to
furnish personal sureties
of good standing for Rs.
400/- and a cash
security of Rs.300/-

No one need apply
who has no previous
office experience and
accounts.
