I hope i am correct in saying that as the
outcome of the agreement the notes that we have
exchanged, close cultural and commercial relations
between our two countries in regard to the Tibet
region of china will' be preserved and further
developed to greater well-being of the pooples
involved. Agreements are but formal undertakings.
It is the spirit in which they are worked that
is important.

With our existing goodwill, our consideration
for -each other's welfare and our mutual respect
for each other's sovereignty, independence and
territorial integrity, the succesful completion today
of our negatiations it) bound to witness closer
co-operation between our two countries'- in various
fields of human endeavour, bo that such co-ope-
ration and friendship, like ours, will not only
be to our mutual advantage but for the strengthen-
ing of peace in Asia and the world.
