A fitting reception
was accoidid last
evening at the pac-

Public Library by the
public of Kurseong to the
far famed poet .and dra-
matist of Nepal, Sri Bal
Krishna Sam. Sri D. B
Chettry, Chairman, Kur-
seung Municipality presi-
ded Giving his masterly
analysis of the present

problems, he also presen-
ted the public with a
neat comparison between
the 'Akbar-Rana Pratap"
duel and the "Gandhi-Ji-
nnah" duel. '] he recita-
tion by him of Mark

Shakespear's ' Julius. Cea-
ser" was a great treat
for all. His son Sri Janar-
dan Sam. nick nam d "the
handscme Sam" in Kur-
eeong, sang a very beauti-
ful peace of folk song.

A historical drama,
"Amnrsingh" was presen-
ted this evening by Sri.
Bal Krishna Sam and
troop to the Kurseong
Public at the Raj Rajeah-
wari Hall. The songs,
and dances were very
much appreciated by all.

BHUTANESE MISSION
TO VISIT DELHI

Gauhati, May 25

A three-man delega-
tion of the Bhutan State
Congress led by its Presi-
dent Mr. D. B. Gurung
will shortly proceed to
New ]>elhi to apprise the
Union Government cfthe
situation in Bhutan accor-
ding to Captain Dr Yun-
zum, Assistant Secretary
of the State Congress.
Captain Yunzum said that
Bhutan ''was now expe-
riencing ruthless oppre-
ssion of the present ruler,"

Captain Yunzum who
is now touring Assam to
mobilise public opinion in
favour of the Bhutan Con-
gress recently launched
movement for setting up
a democratic form of
Government in Bhutan
and claimed that their
movement was gaining
ground everyday.

Captain Yunzum said
that he and his workers
had been asked by the
Assam Government not to
use Assam territory as
base for their movement.

BENGAL'S DEMAND ON
BIHAR UNTENABLE

The members of tho
Siwan Bar Association,
assembled under the "pre-
sidentship of Shri Awa-
dhesh Kumar, pleader, at
liar Library Siwan resolved
unanimously that the claim
of West Bengal and OriB; a
on certain parts of Bihar
was unjustified and un-
tenable.

It was further resolved
that the district of Jal-
paiguri, Malda, Dinajpo're
and Darjeeling are cultu-
rally and linguistically
pans of Bihar and they
be amalgamated with, this
state. It was further re-
solved that a copy of the
resolution be sent to State
Reorganisation Committee.

BHUTIA POLICE FORCE
FOR UTTAR PRADESH

Ihe Uttar Pradesh
Government have decided
to raise tk police force
from among the members
of the 30,000-strong Bhu-
tia community living on
the Indo-Tibetan border.

patriotism in a ' commu-

is vital in the defence of
"the country's . northern
frontiers.

Two police .outposts
are being at present main-
tained on the frontier all
