TWO PERSONS MURDERED BY AN
EX-ARMY MAN

KalimpoDg, September 18 ,

Ong Tahring Lepoha,
an ex-army man of about
32 years of age surrendered
himself to the local police
today after murdering
early this morning his
sister-in-law and her hus-
band and severely injur-
ing his wife all of whom
were living together at a
place nearly one and a
half mile from Kalimpong
Police station.

It is said that Ong
Tshering Lepcha's wife
had gone to live with her
sister and brother-in-law
and waa not willing to
return to her husband.
After all perauation by
Ong Tshring had failed to
bring baok his wife to
his place, Tshring early
this morning entered the
house ihere all these three
were staying, killed the
two hosts of his wife and
severely injured his wife
too who is now lying at
the local Charteris hos-
pital.

Tshring is under po-
lice custody and the case
is being further investiga-
ted by Police Sub-
Inspector Sri Kalu Singha,
who is reported to bo
credited with successful
investigation of some in-
tricate murder cases.

3 BIHAR SUB-DIVISIONS
FOR W. BENGAL ?

Ranchi, Sept. 20
According to sources
close to the Bihar State
Congress, it is learnt that
Bihar delegates to the
recent A. I. C. C. Confer-
ence have indicated that
two Sub-divisions of Man-
bhum District and Dhal-
bhum Sub-division of
Singhbhum District would
have to be transferred to
West Bengal.

It is learnt that
Seraikella and Kharswan
may go to Oriasa. Bihar
will get, as compensation,
parts of two Uttar Pra-
desh districts—Ballia and
Gorakpur.

FRIENDLY FOOTBALL MATCH
IN SiUGURI

Siliguri, Sept. 21
In a very pleasant
atmosphere a friendly
football match between
Officers XI and* Bar
Association XI was played
here on Sept. 17. Most of
the players of Officers
team played well. But
names of Mosars Sukha-
moy Dhar, Harisadhan
Barori (Captain), Naresh
Ch. Raychowdhury, Nri-
pendra Das, Lahiri and
Jagadish Ch. Mukherjee
should be mentioned for
playing better game. The
Officers team won the
game by 3-0 goals and
Messrs Nripendra Das and
Naresh Ch. Raychowdhury
scored 2 and 1 goals res-
pectively The Bar Associa-
tion team gave a very
poor show and all along
their players were seen
busy in playing a defen-
sive game. Two of their
players Messrs .Sadesh
Sarker and Nirmal Moitra
however played a very
impressive game. Sri H. P.
Majumder conducted the
play. Sri K. P. Borua,
S.D.O. who is very found
of games, cheered up his
team all through the play.

After the play, a light
refreshment was served. .
