The Cultural seotion
of the offioe of the Poli-
tical Officer in Sikkim,
organised a programme of
Fanoy Dress Show and
Tableaux from Ramsyana
recently for two days.
In the fanoy Dress
Show, persons like Rani
Chuni Dorjee, Mrs. Jigrae
Dorjee, the He wan of Sik-
kim, Apasaheb B. Pant
and Mrs. Pant had par-
ticipated.

Ganju, . Mrs. Pant being
responsible for the script,
and direction of the Ta-
bleaux. This was the first
time that a programme
of this kind was arranged
at Gangtok, which won
praise for the organisers.
On both dnya. prizes
wer* distributed to the
best Fency, dress, to the
best ballroom dancers and
to the best item ot enter-
tainment given by an in-
dividual or a group, for
the Tableaux prizes were
given to those who did the
best part. Maharajkumar
of Sikkim and Rani Dorjee
distributed the prizes.

the representative aid

Gohatya Nirodh Samities
formed within the District
of Darjeeling was held
on 16th inst. at the Bhu.
pal Dharmashaia Hall un-
der the Chairmanship of
Dr. Brajendra Kumar Basu
Roy Chowdhury, a promi-
nent citizen of the town.
The conference was well

After the inaugural
address by Shree Bansi
Lai Sonee and Sri Biraja

District Committee with 35
members was formed.

delay totally banning sla-
ughter~" of cows of all
categories.
