To alleviate the pre-
sent housing shortage in
Darjeeling the State Go-
vernment proposes to
build another sst of tene-
menta for its employees
at the Woodlands site
which has long been va-
cant. Houaing Department
official! from Calcutta
recently visited the tits

construct about 48 two-
roomed suites Under the

Meanwhile, the tene-
ment flats, which the
Government is construe
ting for its employees at
Medow Bank, are expec-
ted to be completed by
this fiscal year. It will
contain 24 two roomed and
six single-roomed suites,

School, who retired last
weekend after about 30
years' servioe in the edu-

Terms and conditions of
seevioe are as follows :-

(i) The applicant
should be well.versed in
the Tibetan language and
should also be good in
English. H» should be
able to translate with
ease from English into
Tibetan and vice-versa. -

(ii) The scale of pay
sanctioned for the post
is Rs. 250-10300/-. In
addition dearness allow,
ance and compensatory
allowance as sanotioned
from time to time will
also be admissible. Higher
initial salary will be given
in deserving cases.

The selected candi-
dates will be on proba-
tion for 6 months in the
first instance. 1 he post
is temporary and is likely
to continue.
