TENDER NOTICE

Tenders in sealed co-
vers superscribed "Ameri-
can Gunny bags" are
invited by the undersig-
ned on behall of th" Go-
vernor of West Bengal,
for the purchase of empty
gunny bags of American
rice which are available
at the grainshops of the

; Government Cinchona
Plantations at Mungpoo;

: Mnnaong and Latpanchor.
The approximate number
of bags now available in
the different grainshops
are: Mungpoo 4,138; Mun
song 3,2B8; and Latpan-
chor 923 but a . smaller
number of b*gs may ac-
tually be offered to the
successful tenderer at the
time of acceptance of the
tender.

The tenderers should
quote the rate of bags
per 100. The bags- w.ill
be Bold as they arej. and
no sorting will bo allowed.
Bach tender should be
accompanied with an Ear-
nest money of Rs. 26/-.
The Buooessful tenderer
will be required to depo-
sit into the Treasury the
full value of the gunny
bags offered to him and
to submit the original
reoeipted 1 reasury Cballan
to the Manager of the
Plantation, concerned wi-
thin 21 days afur accep-
tance of the tender when
he will be allowed te take
delivery of the bags from
the godowns where these

are stored. Failure to
deposit the money into
the Treasury within the
stipulated period will en-
tail forfeiture of the ear*
nest money.

Separate tenders may
be submitted 'for the
gunny bags in different
plantations. Tenders must
reach the undersigned on
or before the 4th October,
1961 within office hours.

talment would be within
