Sir, Though the India Go-
vernment ia encouraging the pub-
lic to buy the 12 year National
Having Certificates through do.

hand bills and from many other
advertisements, but to our utter
surprise, the people of Sonada
were only able to buy it after
a an effort of 3 hug days.
As wo could not got the
12 years National Saving Certi-
ficates at the Sonada Post
Office, the Post Master of
Sonada directed us to got it
from Darjeeling.' Tost Office.
But at Darjeeling. Post Office
also, the Clerk-in-Chargo asked
us buy the same from the
Sonada Pogjj. Office and he alBO
told us that they have sent
it recently. We enquired at
the Post Office, Sonada, but
Post Master again denied.
Then atonce we left for Dar-
jeeling and enquired at Darjee-
ling Post Office but we got the
negative reply having already
Bent the same to Sonada Post
Office. Thus in this way for
throe long days we were put
to enormous trouble for going
and coming to Darjeeling and
Sonada and vice versa being
told to buy National Saving
Certificates, form. Sonada and
.another asked to buy it. from
•Darjenling Post Office,
Due to such behaviour of
the Official servants we one day
in angry mood visited the Dar-
jeeling Post Oilice and asked the
Clerk in Clurge whether ho is
going to issue the Saving Certifi-
cate or not. In fear he silently
gave us the forms and asked us
to fill it up. In this way to get
a more twenty Rupees 12 year
National Certificate i» took us
three long days which cost' us
nearly Rb. 15/- per head for
motor fare and other incidental
charges from Sonada to Dar-
aud Vice ve^sa,
So, 1- request the proper
authorities to enquire into the
whole situation and save tho
people from such unnecessary

cluding two dootors, com-
prises seven Servicemen
and seven civilians, all of
whom have had consider-
able mountaineering ex-
perience
