On entrance to office, it was usual with such functionaries to cause
their posts to be new painted.
There are two posts of this description, beautifully enriched, yet
standing at the door of Hengrave Hall; but the practice of publishing-
official documents in this manner having been long discontinued, their
introduction in buildings now would be useless.
