IN order that the progress made during the last few years in DOMESTIC ARCHITECTURE
AND DECORATION may be prominently set forth at the commencement of the New Century,
THE INTERNATIONAL STUDIO, in pursuance of its persistent advocacy of Art Revivalism,
has devoted its Special Summer Number for 1901 to the consideration of the latest and best ex-
amples of these Arts by British Designers.
CHAPTERS, by expert writers, upon ARCHITECTURE, DECORATION, FURNITURE,
STAINED GLASS, METAL WORK, AND EMBROIDERY are given, and the illustra-
tions include a large number of original and hitherto unpublished Designs, many of which are
reproduced in Colors.
NO pains or expense have been spared to make this the most remarkable work upon Modern
Decorative Art ever published.
ON account of the great cost involved in a reprint, only ONE EDITION of this Special Number
can be issued, and in order that copies may be secured, applications should be forwarded to the
Publisher without delay. This reminder is given in view of the fact that several Special Numbers
of THE INTERNATIONAL STUDIO have been SOLD OUT shortly after publication, and many
intending purchasers have been unable to obtain copies.
