even more charm of color, for its atmosphere is
glowing. Admirably he has seized the sparkle and
movement of the scene, and then again in The Golden
Galleon, rising and dipping on the Spanish main in
the splendor of sunset, he has reached beyond the
beautiful color to a fine suggestion of vast space
and the grand tranquillity of a heavy, sliding sea.
