atmosphere; Joseph von Mehhoffer's

of decorative ornamentation and orna-
ments, the maid sitting jubilant on
the sofa. T. Axentowicz's Dzz^czzz'azz
6Y7V, with her fine features and
characteristic garb, no detail being
forgotten, from the black and coloured
handkerchief tied round her head,
with white headcloth beneath, to
the embroidery of her jacket; Jan
Stanislawski's rainbows and clouds and
Stephan Filipkiewicz's mountain stream
—each has its own peculiar comprehen-
sion of idea and method of treatment.
