etchings executed by Rembrandt, two hundred and
nineteen are comprehended in its catalogue. There
is an unusual impression in the second state of the
famous "Hundred-Guilder" print, -Hea/fwg
JifcA, dated 1741; a copy by Wooledge made in
1758, and two prints—one on satin, the other on
Japan paper—from the plate
after having been retouched by
Captain Bailie, who purchased
it from Greenwood, who in turn
found it in Holland. The large
and the
DgaiiA 0/ /Ae Tfrg'fw are all in
the second state, and are in
splendid condition ; and the
famous landscape known as
TAe TAree Tregy is here found
in an impression of extraor-
dinary brilliancy. With the
landscapes are admirable re-
productions made by Bailie,
Reynolds and Bretherton; and notable among
the 131 engravings after Rembrandt, which this
collection embraces, is a magnificent mezzotint
of the famous painting, the CcM/Mriow CorwffMy,
which was included in the Wallace collection.
The George Lothrop Bradley collection, which
is likewise deposited with the print division, is ex-
ceedingly rich in Diirers. It possesses, among
