II. 2. Rubric. Inc. summa de ecclesiasticis officiis. After ‘summa’
is supplied, I think in the Bury hand, ‘ magri Johannis beleth.’
In primitiua ecclesia prohibitum erat ....
On the first few pages there are a great many corrections. The
hand is small and rather rough, but pretty. Initials in blue
and green. At 129 near the end of the section de officio
mortuorum the original hand breaks off and the text is
continued by a larger hand of cent, xv (early?) ending on
130^ : tandem in celis coronemur. Amen. Expl. speculum
ecclesie.
Hunc librum scripsit'philippus capellanus cuius anima requi-
escat in pace. Amen.
3. Dialogus mag. petri blesensis batoniensis archidiaconi inter
regem henricum secundum et abbatem boneuallis
Filios enutriui et exaltaui ipsi autem spreuerunt me
Ends 133: verba prophete lamentationis assumam.

Hebrew.

luste iudicate filii hominum

and again 205 a. At 213 b there is a close : quam cum multis
peccare. Finito libro reddatur (blank). A late hand adds in
pencil: Expl. Breuiarium Bernardi Pap. But the text con-
tinues on 214 with the same headline, I: V.:

Cum te audiremus ante consecrationem tuam,
and continues to 217 b where, in another hand,
et causa per iudicem finiri.

which is finished and two further extracts (Idem eidem) added
by another hand on 218. 218 b blank.
