A faire old French MS intituled Le Liure de Sidrach noble
Philosophe entitle La Fontaine de toutes sciences.

Vellum, 1 if x 7f, ff. I + 121 + 2, 31 lines to a page. Cent, xv, in
a large clear hand.
Old binding, brown leather over wooden boards with bevelled
edges : one strap and pin fastening out of two remains. On the first
cover are only panels divided by lines in saltire. On the second are
similar panels, a double row of chevrons down the middle and
small rosettes.
Collation : 1 flyleaf, I8 210 (8 canc.) 34 48-i48 152168172 2 flyleaves.
From Christ Church Canterbury.
On i b is the original title: Cronica de archiepiscopis Stephani
Byrchinton monachi ecclesie christi Cantuar.... followed by some
added words erased.
Note by Bale: Hie liber scriptus per Gervasium mon. dorobern.

Gervasium Iste G. scripsit ad tempora Huberti Archiep. cetera...
