The Chronicle of 35 continued from 42b. Names of kings in
inner margin as before.

The first hand goes down to 52a (in Henry II): a second
finishes the page. A third begins Richard I, of whom the
first account ends
Johannem fratrem suum reliquid heredem.
Rubric. Item de eodem plenius. Then follows an account
(Rad. de Coggeshall abridged, at first) Anno ab incarn. dni
m° c° xc° Ric.1 rex angl. et Ph. rex gallie lerusalem profecti
estate iter agressi sunt etc. ......
end of 55«: perunctus ut dictum est uitam terminauit.
Of John there are two accounts. The first ends: et comitatus
Oii omnia hec ingra capta sunt a rege Gall, (unfinished)
Below is a note in another hand: Nomen et summa tributi
annui tempore guerre...eccl. Rornane concessi etc.
—summa tributi per annum m. marce.
The second account begins: Mortuo itaque Rege Ricardo, and
ends : cum regnasset annis xvii et mensibus quinque .
Continues with Henry III, ending unfinished: transfretauit in
Franciam.
Another hand. Hec sunt nomina Baronum qui electi sunt ad
obseruand. omnia que cont. in carta Regis sec. demandam
Baronum .........

venes)

It extends (with omissions of irrelevant matter) from p. 29 of
the Rolls ed. to 66. Then follows Richard’s letter to the Bp.
of Ely (p. 84) and then his death (pp. 94-98).
