où l'on voit les tombeaux de chaque côté garnis
d'allées de peupliers et entourés de fleurs de diffé-
rentes espèces.
L'élévation est d'une architecture simple et con-
venable à ce genre de monument. Elle inspire le
respect religieux que l'on doit garder dans de pa-
reils lieux, et la tranquillité qui y règne aide l'ima-
gination à se rappeler les bienfaits des ancêtres qui
reposent dans les tombeaux.
La coupe fait voir la décoration intérieure dont
la simplicité et le peu de richesse répondent bien
au sujet.

mite .
Le plan n.° x est composé d'un porche A, d'une
salle B, d'une chambre à coucher C, d'une entrée
D et d'un petit cabinet E.
Elévation latérale, côté de l'entrce D \ élévation
de face , coupe prise sur la longueur.
Cette petite habitation est construite en bois brut;
le remplissage est en pierre et briquej la couverte
est en chaume.
Sa composition variée et piquante convient bien
à ces espèces d'habitations. Le plan et les éléva-
tions ont été composées avec art.

Plan of the chapel and of part of the burying-ground,
where the tombs are seen on each side between ave-
nues of poplars, and set-round with flowers of various
kinds. The height is of plain architecture, suited to
that kind of monuments. It inspires that religious awe
which should be felt in such places, and the tranquility
which reigns there assists in recalling to mind the
virtues of the race of ancestors reposing in the tombs.
The coping shows the interior decoration, the sim-
plicity of which is very well suited to the subject*

wo man die Grabmähler sieht die auf beyden Seiten mit
Pappelbaumen umgeben und mit Blumen von verschiedenen
Farben verziert sind.
Der Aufriss ist von einfacher Bauart und dieser Art von
Denkmälern angemessen welche die religiœse Ehrfurcht ein-
flcest die man in dergleichen Ortern haben soll ; die Ruhe
welche da herrscht hilft der Einbildungskraft sich der
Wohlthaten der Vorfahren, die in diesen Graebern ruhen,
zu erinnern.
Der Durchschnitt zeigt die innere Verzierung deren Einfach-
heit dem Gegenstand vollkommen entspricht.

a bed-room C, an entry D, and a little closet E.

This little habitation is constructed with wood in
its natural state , filled up with stones and bricks j the
roof is of thatch.
The composition, diversified and pleasing, suits
those kinds of habitations perfectly well. The plan and
heights are designed with art.

aus einem Saal Br einem Schlafzimmer C, einem Eingang

Vorderseite, Durchschnitt der Länge nach.
Diese kleine Wohnung ist von rohem Holz gebaut, die
Füllung ist von Back-und andern Steinen. Das Dach ist von
Stroh.
