and groups of other bishops. A miniature
of the fourteenth century engraved in
Jones’s “ Crowns and Coronations ” also
shows the two archbishops. The minia-
tures of the Coronation book of Charles
the Fifth have been published by the
Bradshaw Society. On Henry the Fifth’s
Chantry at Westminster Abbey are two
sculptures of his crowning, one on the
north side, the other on the south.
Both have closed crowns but that on the
north is arched with a ball and cross on
the top (see Plate I.). On the sculptured
frieze of the screen of the Confessor’s
Chapel one scene represents his Corona-
tion. A miniature in the fine MS.
Froissart in the British Museum, of the
Coronation of Henry the Fourth, shows
the pulpitum or stage as a square scaffold
about the height of a man, but it has
little authority, as it is a foreign work.
