Lyons 449 (378) Bede on 1-4 Reges, foil. 146.
Lyons 451 (380) Aug. in Psalm., foil. 101.
Lyons 465 (394) Jerome on Isaiah, foil. 257.
Lyons 472 (402) Aug. on Gospels, foil. 174, saec IX et X.
Lyons 476 (406) Jerome on Matthew, foil. 104, by two
scribes.
Lyons 611 (527) Augustine and other Fathers, foil. 135.
Is this Lyons patch-work, typical of Lyons ninth-
century activity?
Lyons 612 (528) Aug. Retract., foil. 78.
Lyons 619 (536) Acts of Council of Aix-la-Chapelle of
the year 817, foil. 190.
Lyons 620 (537) Isid. Sent., foil. 110, saec, VIII-IX.
The script shews Spanish symptoms. Perhaps the
whole MS. was written by one Visigothic scribe, who
cannot wholly conceal his natural tendencies; but
perhaps more than one hand can be detected.
And here is a list of some other ninth century Lyons MSS.
which are now in other libraries:
Paris 2853 Agobard. foil. 230, hy more than one scribe.
? Paris 4404 Breviarium Alarici, foil. 234, written by Pe-
regrinus. Baluze declared the provenance to be ' e
Gallia Narbonensi'.
Paris 12236-7 Eucherius.
Autun 5 Gospels, by many scribes. On fol. 2V a list
of Lyons bishops till Amolo.
? Vat. Reg. 2078 Theodulf, Alcimus Avitus, Prudentius,
Caper, Agroecius, Aldhelm, Anthology, etc., foil. 150,
by more than one scribe. The collection suggests
Lyons.
[Vallicell. C 3 Claud. Taurin. in Matth., in large quarto,
foil. 204, by two scribes (1-97, 98-end), both of whom use the
apostrophe-symbol with t for ' tur'. The fly-leaf contains (by
a later hand): Ritus probandi homines de furto accusatos per
aquae immersionem, etc. (See Boffito ' II cod. Vail. C3; con-
tribute alio studio delle dottrine religiose di Claudio, ve-
scovo di Torino ' in Atti Accad. Torino XXXIII [1897-8]
p. 254). Later too are the marginalia on foil. 9V, 199v; they
contain Antiphons and Responses for the Offices of Christmas,
