rabbit, bread, and beer, thence to Basingstoke, Andover (paid 10s.
for a pint of burnt “ Clarrett,”) Salisbury, Sherborne, ‘‘ Crooke-
horne,” Hunniton, Exeter, Ashborne, Plymouth, Killington,
“ Cambellford,” “ Clovelle.” “ Mr Arrundel’s man was my guide
from Carhowes to Clovelle,” then to Torrington and “ Shafsbury.”
About sending him “ Sider ” (Cider). Etc.
