Fälschungen, einer Wappenplatte und einer Schraubflasche, im
Katalog des Faiences Francaises et des Gres Allemands von Gaston
Migeon (Nr. 13—15) abgebildet ist. In der Sammlung Emden be-
fand sich noch eine weitere falsche Beauvais-Keramik, die bekannte,
in mehreren Beispielen vorhandene Passionsschüssel (Nr. 117),
deren Reliefverzierung, wie Vergniet Ruiz festgestellt hat, den
Schmuck eines alten Hauses in Beauvais wiedergibt. Klar.

757 Two gold-forgeries. (Archiv Nr. 1653—1656.)

1. The enamelled gold pendant (Abb. 1a b) was offered to the
Museum by Dr. Bonessi, who seems to have shown it to a number
of members of the Byzantine Congress at Rome this autumn. It is
closely akin in style to the Castellani medallion at the British
Museum, but is much larger. The whole pendant measures
exactly S centimetres in diameter and the enamel centre almost
exactly 4 centimetres in diameter; a fact which in itself might give
rise to suspicion. The general appearance of the work ıs good. The
surface of the enamel is considerably decomposed and the colours
