positions were copied in the process of painting the Skalbmierz representations,
permits the conclusion that the painter must have madę them, at the earliest, in
the year of the publication of the designs, i.e. in 1627. In the painting of Saint
Paul, the placement of the Pantheon in the scene that is taking place in Athens
could have been a deliberate attempt to adjust this painting to the ones already
existing. There is no doubt that both this representation and the image of Our
Lady of Mount Carmel were painted in the twentyth century, and they prob-
ably replaced of the previously destroyed paintings, which likely formed a cycle
presenting the Acts of the Apostles. •
