Editorial.

The Magazine Committee during this Term will
consist of the following members:

Dr. A. Holzberg

J. Has sail

W. B. Vincent

G. E. Reid

E. C. Armstrong

E. S. Coke.
The School returned on Saturday Sept. 18th
after a vacation of seven weeks. Work began on
Monday the 20th. The results of the examinations
for the Junior and Senior Certificates held last term,
reflect great credit on the School. No Senior certi-
ficate, was obtained owing to a mistake in the number
of subjects but several were awarded Junior Certi-
ficates. In German we met with great distinction:
No less than six competitors passing in Honours out
of nine which was superior to every other school.
The Preliminary Examination for Sandbars' was held
during the holidays and there, also, a fair percentage
succeeded in getting through and are now busily
engaged in preparing for their Final. For these suc-
cesses the Head Master granted us a „frei" on Oct.
15th, an account of which will appear elsewhere.
In conclusion of this part of the Editorial referring
to School News, the Committee have experienced a
severe loss in the person of Mi'. R. Im. Liebich
who, obedient to the call of ambition, has left us to
pursue a career of which Nature has destined him
to be one of the brightest ornaments. We refer, of
course, to the new opera entitled „the Fairy Ring"
which has been produced at one of the London
