DER NE UENI1EIMER.

and Verity made short runs for the town but, were well
tackled by Armstrong. And in spite of Draper's excellent
dribbling for the Town the ball was still kept near their
25. Hassall I now made a splendid run but was collared
near goal. Draper and Mr. Lowe by good play in the
scrummage took the ball towards the middle, but after
a run by Coke, Edwardes I secured a try for the School
near touch; the kick by Coke was unsuccessful. Mr. Ar-
mitage dropped out and Armstrong by a good run into
their 25, followed by Hassall I, enabled Jones to get a
try in the scrummage, which Coke converted into a goal.
Half time was then called. Edwardes I kicked off for the
School. Mr. Armitage returned the ball and a scrummage
was formed in the middle. A run by Priusep now took
the ball into their 25, and by a good pass from Hassall,
Armstrong secured another try near touch, the kick by
Coke was a good one, but failed to secure the goal.
The ball not being returned to the drop a scrummage
was formed near our 25. Hassall I almost got in by a
splendid run and after some good play forward by Harford
ho got in. The try by Coke was unsuccessful. Mr. lio-

binson dropped out and Armstrong returned the ball into
touch near their goal. The town forwards now played
well together and took the ball to their 25, Mr. Robinson
being especially noticeable, but some good passing by our
behinds, and neat picking up of Prinsep, Hassall I again
took the ball up to their goal line. Draper and Calvert
now showed up well for the town, and after some short
runs from the behinds on both sides and good passing
by Sivell, Johnson got a try in the scrummage which
Coke converted into a goal. After the drop out Coke
returned the ball into touch, and after a few scrummages
in the middle Armstrong by a splendid run got in near
touch. The try by Coke was unsuccessful and time was
now called, leaving the School winners by three goals
and three tries to nil, a victory which was chiefly owing
to the fellows playing well together, the forward play
being especially noticeable. Vincent and Green played a
very hard though not showy game, and the passing of
the behinds was good. In conclusion we may add that
an old Neuenheimer arranged the town team and we
hope next year to see several old Neuenheimer playing
