Our Polizei.
Standing just by a certain street
In village Neuenheim
To my surprise I chanced to meet
The object of my rhyme.
A long thin knock-kneed lanky cuss
And he white breeches wore
A helmet, sword and what was worse
His sword was like a saw.
I never saw a greater croc
It made me cry „O My"
He fairly gave me quite a shock
The Village Polizei.
Our bobbies are a fine strong race
For they have world wide fame
But these no danger dare to face
But take address and name.
If some little cad in the street
You hap' to kick for cheek
The bobby comes with footsteps fleet
Please five marks or a week.
But our bobbies! Well we know them
And if they all agree
We '11 send some over to show 'em
What Bobbies ought to be.

The following is an account of the doings of Lieute-
nants Edwardes and Fowler in the recent war taken
from the „Farningham Village Magazine". The beginn-
ing has unfortunately been mislaid but we hope the
