DER NEUENHEIMER.

Harcourt jumped very neatly, while Vaughan utterly
failed to do himself justice. Fallowfield II however sur-
passed himself and so gained a most useful point for the
College.

V. —120 Yards Hurdles. {Open).

1 W. Knyvett 3 K. Waterlow

2 C. Tomlinson 4 E. Davis

1st—1. 2nd—2. Time 17-J sees.
This was a foregone conclusion. Knyvett led from the
first hurdle and was soon flights ahead of the rest, winning in
the record time of 17-J seconds. He is really an excellent
hurdler, and might with opportunity develop into a really
first-class one. Tomlinson jumped well, but was of course far
behind the first string.

VI. — Putting the Weight. (Open).

1 A. Fallowfield 3 R. Watney

2 W. Knyvett 4 G. Browne

5 E. Davis

1st—1. 2nd—2. Distance 26ft. 4ins., 25ft. 9ins.

A very keen contest was anticipated, but the Heidelberg
College strings for some reason utterly broke down and so we
won 4 points with two very moderate putters.

VII. —Quarter Mile. {Under 16).

1 Fallowfield II 4 Parker

2 Smythe II 5 Harcourt

3 Roberts 6 Nation

1st—1. 2nd—4. Time 64i sees.

A very good race. Fallowfield II led at first, but in the
last lap Parker challenged him and the two raced side by
side till well into the straight, then however Parker was
completely winded and Smythe II, who was just behind,
secured second place. The time considering the state of the
track and the head wind down one side, was good.
