Knyvett again surpassed himself, jumping nearly 18ins.

1st—4. 2nd—1 & 3. Height 4ft. 6£ins., 4ft. 6ins.
Harcourt's success was well earned but unexpected, as
Ovens had cleared several inches higher in his College sports.
Vaughan jumped pluckily, but we were lucky to win the half
point.
XIII.—Quarter Mile. (Open).
1 A. Harris 4 F. Henson
2 W. Knyvett 5 P. Light
3 E. Landvoigt 6 M. Henderson
1st—4 2nd—1. Time 58 sees.
A good race. Henson again ran with excellent judgment
and finishing strongly beat Harris by a couple of yards. The
time under the circumstances was very creditable.
XIV.—Half Mile. (Under 16).
1 Fallowfield II 3 Parker
2 Smythe II 4 Harcourt
1st—1. 2nd—3 Time 2min. 34^ sees.
This certainly was the race of the day in every way.
The Score for the Junior Shield stood N.C. 10$ and H.C. 9£
points before this final event was run off. Fallowfield II
again led from the first, but Parker challenged him half way
round the last lap and a neck and neck race ensued. Fifteen
yards from the finish Fallowfield II half tripped and let
