Neuenheim and Heidelberg Combined College Team
v. Frankfurt.
Junior Fifteen,
This match was played on our ground on November 20th,
and resulted in a pointless draw. The ground was very
heavy and slippery on the surface, so the game was confined
chiefly to the forwards, who gave a good account of them-
selves, for the Frankfurt pack had a considerable advantage
in the scrum with regard to weight.
The game was keenly fought out and the play was not
without exciting moments, as either side in quick succession,
was nearly in on two or three occasions.
Fox and Nell put in some good runs and Burgess played
a sound game, his kicking being as neat as his tackling was
sure. Harcourt brought off some good saves, and of the
forwards Steele and Smythe were the pick.
Mr. Harward kindly officiated as referee.
