COINS OF UNCERTAIN ATTRIBUTION
21. Staryia Sharabai (Ellybokaye raion, Vitebsk voblasts'). A Roman provincial mint, AE. Part
of a collective And of eight Roman bronze coins that also included: 1) Sestertius, Commo-
dus, Romę, AD 189-191? (RIC 550?); 2) Sestertius, Commodus, Romę, AD 183? (RIC 375?);
3) Dupondius (?), Commodus (?); 4) Sestertius, Severus Alexander, Romę, AD 228 (RIC 625);
5) Sestertius, Severus Alexander, Romę, AD 228 (RIC 476); 6) Dupondius, Severus Alexander
(?), Gordianus 111 (?); 7) Sestertius, Otacilla Severa, Romę, AD 244-249 (RIC 198a). The piece
is in poor condition. Attribution to provincial coinage on the basis of characteristic thickness in
the central part of the coin. Collection: private
22. Shchadryn - Stsyapy (Zhlobin raion, Home! voblasts'). Septimius Severus (193-211),
a Roman Provincial mint, AE. Found between the two villages. Collection: private

23. Praletarski (Vietka raion, Homel voblasts'). Gordian 111 (238-244) or Philip 11 (244-249),
a Roman provincial mint, AE. Found at a Kyiv Culture (?) settlement. Part of a collective find
that also included a pentassarion of Gordian 111 struck in Dionisopolis (Cat. 13) and one morę
coin from a provincial mint (Cat. 24). Collection: private

Found at a Kyiv Culture (?) settlement. Part of a co!lective find that also included a pentas-
sarion of Gordian 111 struck in Dionisopolis (Cat. 13) and one morę coin from a provincal mint
(Cat. 23). Collection: the Museum of the Historical Faculty of the Belarusian State University
