down, i.e., decorated side face down. The
first two elements are of a hard white
limestone, providing no problems with
their preservation; the lintel, however, is
of a particularly friable local "mudstone",
which required a long and complicated
conservation treatment before it could
even be overturned and recorded without
danger of complete disintegration.
